Jennifer Mensah

Jennifer Mensah has 10+ years of experience in Italian and international philanthropy.

While completing her degree in cultural-linguistic mediation at the La Sapienza University of Rome in 2008, she started her professional career at the Otto per Mille Office of the Waldensian Church (Union of Methodist and Waldensian Churches), where she is currently employed. She soon assumed positions of responsibility and supported grant seekers and grantees in the projects’ design.

The years of working experience at the Otto per Mille Office of the Waldensian Church have led her to fully understand the reality of the Italian and international third sector, identifying the gaps. From there, she decided in 2020 to begin advisory work for non-profit organizations, mainly from the diaspora, on management, fundraising strategies, partnerships’ identification and development, and project design.

Since September 2021, she has been a member of the board of directors of Cultural Philanthropy, a company engaged in research, training and consulting on issues related to philanthropy, particularly in the field of culture.

Since the same year she has been involved in the development of DIN – Diaspora In Network, a personal project that aims to facilitate partnerships between diaspora and non-diaspora organizations and local nonprofits, for an accountable, conscious and structured philanthropy.
