Riccardo Sansone comes from an engineering background, he is currently Head of External Programs at Oxfam Italia – the Italian affiliate of the Oxfam International Confederation – and a member of the Global Humanitarian Team of Oxfam International.

He brings over 20 years of experience coordinating and overseeing complex development cooperation and humanitarian aid programmes, primarily in protracted crisis contexts.

His areas of expertise include:

• Project cycle management, budgeting, and reporting

• Resource and staff management

• Building trust-based relationships with Country Teams, donors, national and local institutions, and civil society organisations

• External representation, communication, and negotiation

• Strategic analysis, planning, and results-oriented leadership
