First Edition: Scholarship “Caterina Vannini” for the development of Female Leadership in the Third Sector

To commemorate the passing of Caterina Vannini (10/14/1960-11/20/2025), co-founder of ASVI – Agency for the Development of Non-Profit then Social Change School (SCS), is open to the call for participation in 7 scholarships for the Master Lead-Leadership and Strategic Management in the Third Sector. The fellowships and the initiative in general are part of the “Leading Together”-Women Leadership Programme promoted by SCS & Partners.

Beneficiaries

Category 1. Women employed in NGOs with coordination and responsibility roles.  

Category 2.  Women members or employed in cooperatives or social enterprises

Category 3. Young Women under 30 with structured volunteer experience and responsible roles’ who aspire to a managerial –social career. 

Category 4: Young women – non-European activists (with preference Afghanistan, Palestine, Ukraine) already’ in possession of VISA and able’ to participate in in-person meetings

Caterina Vannini with Marco Crescenzi e’ was co-founder (1997) and administrative coordinator of ASVI – Agency for the Development of Non-Profit then Social Change School (SCS). 

In 1998 founded the A/B Primo Sole Percorsi Social Cooperative in Rome, of which she was President continuously from 1998 to 2025.

The Primo Sole cooperative aims to employ people with psychiatric problems through furniture, upholstery, crafts, and horticulture workshops at various day centers in Rome and Lazio.

It has played its role in the spirit of innovation and quality, with high-level productions designed in partnership with artists, graphic designers, and designers such as Chiara Rapaccini and others, and exhibitions in qualified centers and galleries.

His helpfulness ’humanity, organizational capacity’, and commitment to the work integration of the most’ vulnerable remain etched in the memories of many.

His initial contribution and support for the birth of ASVI, now Social Change School, at a time when talking about nonprofit management seemed impossible, was crucial.
