Impact Evaluation is requested as vital knowledge by International Donors to prove organizational accountability between Donors, Taxpayers and Beneficiaries. It is also mandatory on the Application Forms of many Institutions to back up their policies and use of public funds.

It is suggested to:
- Junior Professionals or Volunteers with previous experience in International Cooperation
- Professionals with more than three years of experience looking for an internationally recognized certificate
- Experienced Professionals and Managers coming from the For-Profit sector (i.e. Project Managers, Engineers)
The course aims to support professionals in the development cooperation field in making decisions based on evidence generated through evaluations– so to improve quality of programs, and spend resources more effectively.
We provide the professionals with a theorical and operational overview of the most rigorous impact evaluation tools and their application to real-world development operations.
The goal is to equip participants with key knowledge to:
- Identity the fil-rouge connecting project design, monitoring and evaluation;
- Effectively design, plan and manage evaluations in line with the evaluation cycle, distinguish between the main evaluation approaches and identify the most suitable to respond to specific knowledge needs;
- Understand the essential steps for implementing an evaluation;
- Identify what decisions to take at each phase of the evaluation cycle and who is responsible for them.

Marta Moroni
Marta Moroni is Senior MEAL Advisor at Save the Children Italy since 2020.
She holds an MA in Educational Science and has more than twenty years’ experience in international development and cooperation, having worked across multiple organisations, including UN (UNICEF and UNHCR), International NGOs, and USA cooperation (EGPAF/PEPFAR).
Her areas of expertise are Monitoring and Evaluation, Research, and Quality Improvement. She lived and worked abroad for more than 10 years in Latin America (Brazil, Suriname) and East Africa (Tanzania, Kenya) supporting education, health, and child protection programming at different levels.
