For various reasons, the Third Sector risks losing attractiveness compared to other sectors with lower social value but greater ability to be more “appealing”. Worldwide, companies have largely overtaken the Third Sector in the public trust index (Edelman Trust Barometer 2023,24 data). There are several reasons for this: the seriousness of the commitment required and the ability to cope with frustration, often lower salaries, insufficient generational turnover, the rhetoric of “volunteering” and unpaid work, gender imbalances in management, insufficient preparation of middle management, a structural tendency to attract profiles of ‘good people’ more often than ‘smart people’, insufficient investment in HR, and negative word of mouth from dissatisfied employees.
VISION E MISSION
Increase the level of talent and leadership within Third Sector organisations by supporting the quality of HRM and reducing management costs per candidate. Space T is the 2025–2030 system initiative designed to pursue this mission. Focused on talent intelligence, it was conceived within Social Change School and Crescenzi&Partners Consulting, and developed in collaboration with Leaders4Future—the network of General Directors of the Italian Third Sector. Space T was created with the following objectives: Medium Term 2025–2027
  • Improving HRM quality. Support the improvement of the quality of HR departments’ work. Through a conceptual paradigm shift, a talent intelligence strategy, and high-level digital and AI-driven operations;
  • Improving the quality of people. Identify, attract, recruit and retain new talent and future leaders. Develop predictive analyses of professional success through longitudinal studies;
  • Reducing costs per selected candidate. At the same time, achieve a reduction in costs per candidate (economies of scale, outsourcing of functions) while improving process quality.
Medium-Long Term 2025–2030 Build a new integrated multi-partner talent-generating ecosystem capable of regenerating organisations and the leadership of civil society. Identify the best recruitment pools to attract the most talented members of Generation Z who best meet the needs of organisations. Space T is designed for three types of organisations:
  1. Organisations without an HR Department that need to outsource the entire recruitment process.
  2. Organisations with a semi-structured HR Department requiring extensive support.
  3. Highly structured organisations wishing to innovate processes, reduce costs, improve quality and redefine their strategies.
