Social Change School is seeking a Senior European Project Manager to head our International Project Office. In this hybrid, part-time role (approx. 50 hours/month), you’ll scout EU funding opportunities, build cross-border partnerships, and lead full-cycle project management of major European programmes. You’ll work closely with our extensive network to drive meaningful international development efforts.

Job Description 
As Senior European Project Manager, you’ll lead the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation and closure of EU-funded projects. You’ll be in charge of our International Project Office, coordinating with partners across Europe and ensuring compliance with complex administrative and financial requirements. Your work will directly support the School’s mission of global social impact and contribute to Europe-wide initiatives. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading the School’s International Project Office operations
  • Identifying EU funding opportunities aligned with our strategic priorities 
  • Writing and submitting EU project proposals (e.g. Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, LIFE, CERV, Interreg e.g.), Spanish and Italian local funds 
  • Building and maintaining strategic partnerships in Europe and beyond 
  • Coordinating and managing multi-stakeholder international projects 
  • Monitoring progress, budgets, and reporting obligations 
  • Ensuring administrative, financial, and legal compliance 

 

What You Should Know 
You’ll bring a solid background in managing EU-funded projects and a talent for building effective partnerships. Your ability to navigate complex funding frameworks and lead multi-country efforts will be essential in making our projects successful. 

Essential qualifications: 

  • 5+ years managing EU projects and writing successful proposals 
  • C1 English; Spanish (C1 or native) 
  • Deep knowledge of EU funding programmes (e.g. Erasmus+, CERV) 
  • Strong coordination, reporting, and budget management skills 
  • Confident using project and financial tracking tools 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse international teams 
  • Practical experience using AI in project management 
  • Based in Spain or willing to relocate
