{"id":38319,"date":"2017-07-17T13:32:07","date_gmt":"2017-07-17T13:32:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/socialchangeschool.org\/17\/07\/2017\/first-hope-workshop-scenario-paradigms-legal-framework-strategic-perspectives\/"},"modified":"2017-07-17T13:32:07","modified_gmt":"2017-07-17T13:32:07","slug":"first-hope-workshop-scenario-paradigms-legal-framework-strategic-perspectives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/17\/07\/2017\/first-hope-workshop-scenario-paradigms-legal-framework-strategic-perspectives\/","title":{"rendered":"First HOPE Workshop: \u201cScenario \u2013 Paradigms, legal framework, strategic perspectives&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"post-title entry-title\" style=\"text-align: justify\">The students of\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-humanitarian-operations-in-emergencies-managing-projects-people-administration-logistic-in-the-field\/\">HOPE \u2013 Master In Humanitarian Operations in Emergencies Managing Projects, People, Administration &amp; Logistic in the field<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0of the Edition started in June 2017, took part at their first workshop \u201c<strong>SCENARIO &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>PARADIGMS, LEGAL FRAMEWORK, STRATEGIC PERSPECTIVES<\/strong>\u201d held on the 8<sup>th<\/sup>, 9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of July at the Polo Didattico in Rome.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On the first day, the students were introduced to the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/didattica\/career-development\/\">Career Development<\/a><\/strong>, meeting\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/faculty\/silvia-fontana\/\"><strong>Silvia Fontana<\/strong>,<\/a>\u00a0the Head of Career Development Unit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The workshop was lead by professionals from the field of Humanitarian Emergencies, which gave the students the first tools and insights over the sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The first day focused in fact on\u00a0<strong>HUMANITARIAN AID AND ETHICS<\/strong>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/federico-marcon-a9bb4415\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Federico<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Marcon<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/federico-marcon-a9bb4415\/\">,<\/a>\u00a0Strategic Growth and Business Development Manager at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.redcross.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Australian Red Cross<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0introduced the students to the\u00a0<strong>definitions, concept, history and principles of Humanitarian AID.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  aligncenter wp-image-29853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2017\/07\/IMG_9805-e1500289097119.jpg\" alt=\"Marcon. Workshop HOPE\" width=\"393\" height=\"273\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_9805-e1500289097119.jpg 1032w, https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_9805-e1500289097119-300x208.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_9805-e1500289097119-1024x711.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_9805-e1500289097119-768x534.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 393px) 100vw, 393px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The second part of the day was led by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/marcelo-garcia-9884477b\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Marcelo<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Garcia<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Dalla<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Costa<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/marcelo-garcia-9884477b\/\">,<\/a>\u00a0Head of Emergency Unit at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.intersos.org\/\"><strong>INTERSOS<\/strong><\/a>on \u201c<strong>WHAT IS A HUMANITARIAN EMERGENCY?<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>The context: major crisis and root causes, affected communities, fleeing people\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">At the end of the day, the students could hear stories and personal testimony of experts in humanitarian operations by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/marta-collu-6641115\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Marta Collu<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/marta-collu-6641115\/\">,<\/a>\u00a0Humanitarian Aid Advisor at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/openaid.aics.gov.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Italian Development Cooperation Agency<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"  aligncenter wp-image-29855\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2017\/07\/IMG_9809.jpg\" alt=\"Marta Collu -
