{"id":38305,"date":"2017-06-01T11:55:34","date_gmt":"2017-06-01T11:55:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/socialchangeschool.org\/01\/06\/2017\/pmc-students-in-rome-for-the-workshop-on-monitoring-and-evaluation-techniques-processes-in-project-management\/"},"modified":"2017-06-01T11:55:34","modified_gmt":"2017-06-01T11:55:34","slug":"pmc-students-in-rome-for-the-workshop-on-monitoring-and-evaluation-techniques-processes-in-project-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/01\/06\/2017\/pmc-students-in-rome-for-the-workshop-on-monitoring-and-evaluation-techniques-processes-in-project-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Master PMC in Rome: Workshop with INTERSOS, CooperAction Onlus and Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u201cProject Management Monitoring and Evaluation Techniques &amp; Processes\u201d <\/strong>is the latest Workshop held at the Polo Didattico &#8211; Rome, from the 25th to the 28th of May 2017, for the students who started the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/master\/master-in-cooperazione-internazionale-europrogettazione-sviluppo-locale\/\"><strong>Master PMC- Project Management for International Cooperation, Euro-Project Management and Local Development<\/strong><\/a> in December 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The four days have been intense and rich in laboratories during which the students could put into practice the theory and tools acquired thanks to professionals from the field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The first day focused on<strong> \u201cMONITORING AND EVALUATION: Principles, tools and strategies<\/strong>\u201d with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/docenti\/alessio-di-carlo\/\"><strong>Alessio Di Carlo<\/strong><\/a><strong>, co-director Master PMC, and Vice-President of <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperaction.eu\/?centrale=pagine.php&amp;pagina=14&amp;lang=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>COOPERACTION ONLUS<\/strong><\/a>. He covered concepts such as the criteria of Monitoring and Evaluation, the Logical Framework as a tool for Evaluation, Efficiency of Monitoring with in the end, practical exercises.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">During the second day, A. Di Carlo, focused on \u201c<strong>MONITORING IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT<\/strong>\u201d, providing both theory and practice to the students on the creation of monitoring matrixes and indicators of Efficiency, Effectiveness and Context.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The lecturer of the third day was instead <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/marco-spada-58207b21\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Marco Spada<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>International Development Senior Consultant and Debt Swap Senior Expert at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aics.gov.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian Agency for Development Cooperation<\/a><\/strong>, who presented the theme of \u201c<strong>PROJECT MANAGEMENT ON THE FIELD<\/strong>\u201d, with a focus on the management of supplies, costs, timings, activities in EU contracts and on how to implement contracts according to donors\u2019 requirements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The final day was led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/cristiano-gavarini-b19424b\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Cristiano Gavarini<\/strong><\/a><strong>, <\/strong>HQ Finance Officer at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intersos.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>INTERSOS<\/strong><\/a>, and it dealt with \u201c<strong>THE FINANCIAL REPORTING OF A PROJECT<\/strong>: Principles and tools of a narrative and financial report of a project\u201d, engaging the students in a role playing game focused on the topic of Audit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/faculty\/cinzia-dintino\/\">Cinzia D&#8217;Intino<\/a><\/strong>, Didactic Coordinator, would like to share some of the comments made by the students on the lecturers:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8221;Really qualified and passionate about the topic&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8221;Great teacher!!!
