{"id":38291,"date":"2017-04-28T07:49:39","date_gmt":"2017-04-28T07:49:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/socialchangeschool.org\/28\/04\/2017\/finance-logistics-and-communication-new-paths-for-hope-students\/"},"modified":"2017-04-28T07:49:39","modified_gmt":"2017-04-28T07:49:39","slug":"finance-logistics-and-communication-new-paths-for-hope-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/28\/04\/2017\/finance-logistics-and-communication-new-paths-for-hope-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Finance, Logistics and Communication: new paths for HOPE students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"post-title entry-title\" style=\"text-align: justify\">From April 21<sup>st<\/sup> to the 23<sup>rd<\/sup>, students of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-humanitarian-operations-in-emergencies-managing-projects-people-administration-logistic-in-the-field\/\">HOPE- Master In Humanitarian Operations in Emergencies Managing Projects, People, Administration &amp; Logistic in the field<\/a>,<\/strong> participated to the Workshop on \u201c<strong>Humanitarian Finance and Logistics, and Communication in Emergency<\/strong>\u201d, that\u00a0took place in Rome, at the Polo Didattico, and lead by experts\u00a0in these fields.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Workshop started with the lesson on <strong>the Role of Logistics in a Humanitarian Intervention<\/strong><em>, <\/em>held by <strong>Kostas Moschochoritis<\/strong>, General Secretary at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intersos.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INTERSOS<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0and one of our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/16\/12\/2016\/the-protagonists-humanitarian-emergency-interview-to-kostas-moschochoritis-intersos\/\">Social Change Leaders<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0whose interview you can be found in the Social Change School\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/blog4change\/\">Blog4Change<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The same day, HOPE students had the chance to understand and get in touch with the <strong>Administrative and Financial procedures in humanitarian programs<\/strong>. <strong>Lodovico Mariani<\/strong>, Finance and Administrator Director at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amref.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amref Health Africa Italy<\/a> <\/strong>and Master HOPE Director, was\u00a0the lecturer of that class. Mariani\u2019s lesson continued during the whole day of Saturday, when he provided practical examples and implemented dynamics so that the students had the possibility to apply and plan a Gantt Chart and budget structure for a specific project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Finally, on Sunday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/filippo-ungaro\/\"><strong>Filippo Ungaro<\/strong><\/a>, Communication Manager at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Save the Children Italy<\/a><\/strong> and the new Master FRAME\u00a0Director, held the<strong> Communication in Emergency<\/strong>\u00a0lecture.
