During her post-master internship, she came into contact with Fundraising and was absolutely fascinated by it. Since then she has been working for a number of different organizations in the Non Profit Sector. Her first working experience took place in the UK at Amnesty International in the role of Donors Development Assistant. What followed was a six-months experience in Vancouver at the Chamber of Commerce where she organized events for Italian and Canadian companies.\n\nBetween 2001 and 2004 she worked as Direct Marketing Officer at Amnesty International- Italy. She also worked as Direct Marketing Manager at l\u2019UNHCR for two years.\n\nShe has been working at Save the Children Italy since 2006 where she is responsible for fundraising campaigns for individual donors.\n\nGiancarla has been a trainer in fundraising techniques and strategies both in Social Change School Master Programs and at La Sapienza University in Rome and at the University of Bologna. She also collaborates with a number of smaller training schools.\n\nShe hates the routine and she is constantly looking for new challenges. She believes that being a fundraiser is one of the most rewarding jobs in the worlds.\n\nHer motto in life is \u201c\u201cLive as if you were to die tomorrow.
