Diego Battistessa<\/b> has been working as a field-based humanitarian worker for international NGOs, local foundations, and UN agency projects since 2010. Since 2016, he has been a member of the Institute of International and European Studies \u201cFrancisco de Vitoria\u201d at Carlos III University of Madrid. He serves as a consultant, lecturer, analyst, and writer for universities, institutes, NGOs, newspapers, and television networks in Spain, Latin America, the United States, and Italy, specializing in his areas of expertise.<\/p>

In Italy, you may have seen him on TV programs on Rai<\/strong> or Mediaset<\/strong> as an expert on international cooperation and human rights, heard him on the radio (Radio1 Rai, Radio 24, and Radio Blackout 105.250<\/strong>), or attended his training sessions (both in-person and online) at various NGOs and universities.<\/p>

He writes about Latin America and the Caribbean for Il Fatto Quotidiano<\/strong> and Osservatorio Diritti<\/strong>. In Spain, he is a regular contributor to El Pa\u00eds<\/strong>, and in the United States, he works as an analyst on Latin American affairs for Voz de Am\u00e9rica<\/strong>.<\/p>

Latin America and the Caribbean are his areas of specialization, regions where he frequently travels and works. Since 2013, he has lived or stayed for study and work purposes in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Chile<\/strong>.<\/p>

His base is in Madrid<\/strong>, where he coordinates\u00a0Master’s programs<\/a>\u00a0and specialized courses focused on diversity, inclusion, human rights, and international solidarity<\/strong>. As a career coach, he has conducted hundreds of professional mentoring sessions<\/strong> (in English, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese<\/strong>) since 2015.<\/p>
