Lavora in Africa da quasi 60 anni, contribuendo al suo sviluppo socio-sanitario, in particolare nelle aree pi\u00f9 remote e marginalizzate. \u00c8 stata fondata a Nairobi nel 1957 per iniziativa di tre chirurghi e in oltre mezzo secolo di attivit\u00e0 ha soccorso, curato e istruito milioni di persone.<\/p>\n<p>Oggi <strong>AMREF<\/strong> impiega in Africa quasi <strong>1000 persone<\/strong>, per <strong>il 97% africani<\/strong>, gestisce 155 progetti di sviluppo sanitario in 5 Paesi (Etiopia, Kenya, Sud Sudan, Tanzania e Uganda) e centri regionali in Africa del Sud (con sede in Sud Africa) e in Africa occidentale (con sede in Senegal). Tuttavia il nostro sostegno raggiunge gli abitanti di oltre 35 Paesi grazie ai nostri programmi di formazione, consulenza e sensibilizzazione.
