{"id":2636,"date":"2018-06-08T08:51:09","date_gmt":"2018-06-08T08:51:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/socialchangeschool.org\/2018\/06\/workshop-on-fundraising-forms-and-techniques-the-joy-of-donating\/"},"modified":"2024-03-18T14:10:29","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T14:10:29","slug":"workshop-on-fundraising-forms-and-techniques-the-joy-of-donating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/08\/06\/2018\/workshop-on-fundraising-forms-and-techniques-the-joy-of-donating\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on Fundraising Forms and Techniques \u2013 The joy of donating"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From the 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0to the 27<sup>th\u00a0<\/sup>of May,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-fundraising-management-comunication-marketing-campaigning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Master FRAME in Fundraising Management in the NGOs Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, Social Media, Campaigns<\/a><\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>students were in Rome for the Workshop on\u00a0<strong>FUNDRAISING FORMS AND TECHNIQUES<\/strong>,\u00a0held at Polo Didattico.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The first day was dedicated to <strong>Legacy Fundraising<\/strong> (presented by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/giovanna-li-perni\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Giovanna Li Perni<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Senior PSFR Associate &#8211; HNWIs &amp; Legacy at<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNHCR<\/a><\/strong>) and <strong>Corporate Fundraising<\/strong> (by <strong>Silvia Capotorto<\/strong>, <strong>Senior Partnerships &amp; Innovation Manager at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airc.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AIRC<\/a><\/strong>).<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/06\/collage1-e1528447707347.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-31353\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/06\/collage1-e1528447707347.jpeg\" alt=\"Workshop on Fundraising Forms and Techniques \u2013 The joy of donating\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a>The second day was completely focused on Individual Donors, with an intriguing full immersion with\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/giancarla-pancione\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Giancarla Pancione<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Marketing and Fundraising Director at\u00a0<\/strong><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Save The Children Italia<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<br \/>On Sunday the 27<sup>th<\/sup>, fellows spent their morning with <strong>Lorenzo Catapano<\/strong> (<strong>Head of\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Digital Media at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Save the Children Italia<\/a><\/strong>) to talk about <strong>Digital Fundraising<\/strong> and their afternoon with <strong>Veronica Manna <\/strong>(from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/english.ant.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ANT Italia Onlus Foundation<\/a><\/strong>) to delve into <strong>Community Fundraising<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fellows have achieved important\u00a0<strong>formative objectives<\/strong>, acquiring the main theoretical and practical schemes of the fundraising techniques:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Legacy Fundraising<\/strong> and its perception, markets and requirements;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Corporate Fundraising<\/strong>, fundraising with enterprises, a fascinating theme, which entails synergetic partnerships with for-profit companies;<\/li>\n<li>The role of\u00a0<strong>individual donors<\/strong>, from one-off donors to major donors;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digital Fundraising<\/strong> and its close connection with communication; fundraising through online channels, social networks and crowdfunding;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community Fundraising<\/strong> closes the circle and receives the influences of all the other techniques for the nurturing of a community, based on trust, for fundraising dedicated to specific community projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To learn the different types of fundraising even better, students were able to analyse some of<strong> the best campaigns of national and international NGOs<\/strong>, and put theory into practice during group laboratories.<\/p>\n<p>Many <strong>tools, labs and analyses of \u201ccase studies\u201d<\/strong> were held during the workshop.
