The workshop took place from the 24<sup>th<\/sup> to the 27<sup>th<\/sup> of May and was led by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/faculty\/alessio-di-carlo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alessio Di Carlo<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Master PMC Director<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperaction.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CooperAction ONLUS<\/a><\/strong><strong> Vice-President<\/strong>, and <strong>Jaime de Alfonso<\/strong>, <strong>Consultant for Social Organizations and Development Cooperation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/06\/collage-e1528189453810.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-31339\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/06\/collage-e1528189453810.jpeg\" alt=\"Project Management on the Field: a workshop in Madrid to learn from professionals of the sector\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a>Alessio Di Carlo started the workshop in the morning of the 24<sup>th<\/sup> of May with a focus on <strong>Monitoring and Evaluation &#8211;\u00a0 its principles, tools and strategies<\/strong>. During this workshop, the students tackled topics like Project start-up, the Logical Framework Approach as a tool for Project Management, Participatory Project Planning, Monitoring &amp; Evaluation\u2019s definitions and objectives and Efficiency Monitoring.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The following day, Di Carlo discussed <strong>Monitoring in Project Management<\/strong> in further detail, concentrating on its <strong>Efficiency, Effectiveness and Context<\/strong>. The lecturer helped students understand different Matrices and how to use them in different contexts of Project Cycle Management.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Students particularly enjoyed the lecturer\u2019s approach, appreciating the \u201cimportant and practical tips for our future to manage challenges on the field\u201d Alessio Di Carlo gave them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The following two days, lectures were delivered by Jaime De Alfonso. During his first workshop, the focus moved to <strong>Project Management on the Field, <\/strong>with a first workshop on <strong>management of supplies, costs, timings, activities<\/strong>. At the end of the workshop, fellows were better equipped to manage EU contracts and to implement grants according to donor\u2019s requirements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On Sunday, the last day of this cycle of workshops, De Alfonso concentrated on <strong>The Financial Reporting of a Project<\/strong>, analysing the <strong>principles and tools of a narrative and financial report of a project<\/strong>. Thanks to this workshop, students are now able to apply project management tools based on the requests of the donors.
