Students were guided by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/faculty\/giampiero-giacomel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Giampiero Giacomel<\/strong><\/a><strong> (<\/strong><strong>Master FRAME Senior Adviser<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong>Head of Individual Giving\u00a0<\/strong>at the<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottishopera.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Scottish Opera<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and former student of the Social Change School) and <strong>Francesco Stefanini<\/strong>\u00a0(<strong>Executive Director and International Fundraising Consultant\u00a0<\/strong>at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysmeals.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mary\u2019s Meals International<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and former student of the Social Change School).<\/p>\n<p>The first day was dedicated to an \u201c<strong>INTRODUCTION TO FUNDRAISING MANAGEMENT<\/strong>\u201d, a lecture held by Giampiero Giacomel. It was an opportunity for fellows to get to know how Fundraising Management works, the fundraiser\u2019s role and the development of the main Fundraising activities.<\/p>\n<p>On the second day, the <strong>workshop <\/strong><strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>BUDGET, STRATEGIC PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT OF FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> was held again by Giacomel<strong>,<\/strong> who promised fellows he would \u201cmake sure that by the end of the workshop you will be able to create an actual fundraising strategy for any organization\u201d. This lecture <strong>allowed students to<\/strong> focus on the\u00a0<strong>Fundraising cycle<\/strong>\u00a0(needs, audience, forms, evaluation), as well as on <strong>strategic planning for Fundraising, <\/strong>setting fundraising goals and a budget.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/04\/collage1-e1523895444442.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-30997\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/04\/collage1-e1523895444442.jpeg\" alt=\"FUNDRAISING STRATEGIES AND PLANNING: in Rome with the fellows of Master FRAME\" width=\"380\" height=\"380\" \/><\/a>During the third day, Francesco Stefanini introduced the workshop \u201c<strong>MANAGING DONORS RELATIONSHIPS\u201d<\/strong>. Fellows were able to understand the reasons for the different types of \u201cindividual and corporate giving\u201d, the identification and segmentation of donors and how to manage donors\u2019 relationships. During the workshop, the lecturer interestingly pointed out how \u201cIn order to understand fundraising, you have to understand the society around you\u201d and that \u201cfundraising is the ability to put together measurable numbers and the intuition to know how to achieve those numbers\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The morning of the fourth day, Francesco Stefanini presented the \u201c<strong>MANAGING DONORS DATABASE<\/strong>\u201d workshop with an introduction to <strong>Customer Relationship Management<\/strong>\u00a0and its implementation, structure and functionality.
