{"id":2617,"date":"2018-04-02T08:52:27","date_gmt":"2018-04-02T08:52:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/socialchangeschool.org\/2018\/04\/master-frame-and-ngos-professionals-in-madrid-fundraising-channels-workshop\/"},"modified":"2024-03-18T14:11:41","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T14:11:41","slug":"master-frame-and-ngos-professionals-in-madrid-fundraising-channels-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/02\/04\/2018\/master-frame-and-ngos-professionals-in-madrid-fundraising-channels-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Master FRAME and NGOs professionals in Madrid: Fundraising Channels Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Between the 22nd and the 25th of March, the cycle of workshops on\u00a0<strong>FUNDRAISING CHANNELS: COMMUNICATION, CAMPAIGNING, LOBBYING, WEB MARKETING, SOCIAL MEDIA<\/strong> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-fundraising-management-comunication-marketing-campaigning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Master FRAME\u00a0\u2013 Fundraising Management in the Ngos, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, Social Media, Campaigns<\/a>, December 2017 Edition\u2013 was held in Madrid, at Social Change School&#8217;s Headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>The workshops were led by brilliant lecturers and professionals: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/faculty\/filippo-ungaro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Filippo Ungaro<\/a><\/strong>, Director of Master FRAME &amp; Director of Communications, Campaigning and Volunteers at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Save the Children Italia<\/a>; <strong>David Grac\u00eda Gil<\/strong>, Senior Marketing Manager &amp; Digital Strategist, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Change.org<\/a>; <strong>Maria Butera<\/strong>, Third Sector<b> <\/b>Digital Consultant;<strong>\u00a0Clara \u00c1vila Cantos<\/strong>, Product designer, content strategist &amp; digital marketer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Save the Children Spain<\/a>; <strong>Luis Aguado<\/strong>, Engagement and Membership at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Change.org<\/a>, <strong>Fernando Mor\u00f3n Lim\u00f3n, <\/strong>Director of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aefundraising.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Fundraising (AEFR)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The first day was dedicated to an introduction to \u201c<strong>COMMUNICATION PLAN, PRESS OFFICE &amp; PRESS RELEASE<\/strong>\u201d given by Filippo Ungaro, the Director of the Master.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>The students learnt\u00a0<strong>how communication works in the third sector<\/strong>, the tools of the trade in External Communication and how to create the communication plan. The second part of the day was dedicated to <strong>Press Office and Press Release<\/strong>. Through practical exercises, they\u00a0were able to\u00a0create a Communication Plan based on their project works.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/04\/1-e1522659611677.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-30865 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/04\/1-e1522659611677-1024x613.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"392\" height=\"235\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/1-e1522659611677-1024x613.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/1-e1522659611677-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/1-e1522659611677-768x460.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/1-e1522659611677.jpg 1032w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 392px) 100vw, 392px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the second day, the <strong>workshop \u201cCAMPAIGNING, LOBBYING, ADVOCACY\u201d<\/strong> was led by <strong>David Garc\u00eca Gil, Senior Marketing Manager &amp; Digital Strategist at Change.org\u00a0<\/strong> and dedicated to deepening the theme of how campaigning works and what being a campaigner means. They explored t<strong>he strategy and management of a campaign and the definition of the objectives <\/strong>(SMART method) as well as time management and the organisation of team work. During the afternoon, the lecturer introduced digital activism platforms and focused on Lobbying &amp; Advocacy. Fellows\u00a0were able to put into practice all these knowledge through group exercises on campaign strategy. At the end of the day, <strong>Fernando Mor\u00f3n Lim\u00f3n, Director of Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Fundraising (AEFR) <\/strong>joined the workshop as a representative of the organisation,\u00a0Partner of Social Change School, and met the students for a Q&amp;A session.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The morning of the third day was spent on <strong>\u201cDIGITAL MARKETING<\/strong>\u201d with <strong>Maria Butera (Digital Consultant in Third Sector)<\/strong>, exploring the possibilities of Marketing in WEB 2.0 scenarios: how online marketing differentiates from the traditional one. They looked at the opportunities for NGOs in this context, and <strong>how to set up a digital marketing plan: goals, tools, monitoring, the SEO and SEM techniques<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong> In the afternoon, the focus shifted towards <strong>\u201cSOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT<\/strong>\u201d with <strong>Clara \u00c1vila Cantos (Product designer, content strategist &amp; digital marketer at Save the Children Espa\u00f1a)<\/strong>, looking at content marketing, inbound marketing and an explanation\u00a0about how to\u00a0create a content strategy. In both seminars, fellows had the opportunity to\u00a0work on practical exercises about online strategic planning, what the user wants to know and the Basic Marketing persona template.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/04\/61.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-30867 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/04\/61-1024x740.jpeg\" alt=\"6\" width=\"385\" height=\"278\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The fourth day, with\u00a0<strong>Luis Aguado (Engagement and Membership at Change.org)<\/strong>\u00a0was dedicated to the workshop on\u00a0<strong>\u201cSTORY TELLING<\/strong>\u201d, in which students approached the principles and the &#8220;physiology&#8221; of story telling. They learned the main concepts of storytelling and they now know how to create a story with tools from the professional script and how to build a &#8220;story&#8221; with professional instruments. During the last practical exercise, they presented the \u201cStory of self\u201d, using the given tools and applying them to a personal story. It was a very emotional moment for everybody.<\/p>\n<p>All the lecturers were very engaging, dynamic and empathetic with the students. They\u00a0were able to transmit all the contents in a very energetic way.
