The workshop was led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/faculty\/marco-crescenzi\/\"><strong>Marco Crescenzi<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; President and Founder of the Social Change School,\u00a0<strong>Marta Collu<\/strong> &#8211; Emergency Advisor at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aics.gov.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Italian Agency for <\/strong><strong>Development Cooperation<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Marcelo Garcia dalla Costa &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Head of Emergency Unit at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intersos.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>INTERSOS<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Cristina Perozzi &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cri.it\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian Red Cross<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Riccardo Sansone<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Head of Humanitarian Emergencies at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfamitalia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oxfam Italia<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Gianluca Ranzato<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; International Humanitarian Manager at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Save the Children Italia<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">After the International Masters&#8217;\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/31\/01\/2018\/masters-opening-ceremony-ready-to-impact\/\">Opening Ceremony<\/a><\/strong> that took place on January 26, the students started the first day of Workshop with the Social Change School President and Founder M. Crescenzi, who introduced them to &#8220;<strong>VEHICLES FOR SOCIAL CHANGE: THE NONPROFIT SECTOR, HYSTORY, REGULATION, ORGANIZATIONS&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;HOW TO CHANGE THE WORLD? PARADIGMS, STRATEGIES, SOCIAL ACTIONS\u2026SOCIAL CHANGE!&#8221;<\/strong> for giving them a clearer understanding of the NonProfit world and of the vehicles for Social Change.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The second day was dedicated to an initial approach to \u201c<strong>HUMANITARIAN AID AND ETHICS<\/strong>\u201d during the morning and to \u201c<strong>WHAT IS A HUMANITARIAN EMERGENCY?\u201d <\/strong>during the afternoon. Furthermore, the students had a first contact with the Humanitarian Scenario, the Humanitarian Principles and a first introduction to what is Humanitarian Emergency, in a very experiential way, through the knowledge and experiences of professionals of the sector:\u00a0\u00a0Marta Collu from\u00a0 Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and Marcelo Garcia Dalla Costa from INTERSOS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The third day was with\u00a0Cristina Perozzi from Italian Red Cross and was completely dedicated to &#8220;<strong>HUMANITARIAN EMERGENCY: THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK and THE ROLE OF RED CROSS&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>as one of the main actors of the Humanitarian Operations Context. At the end of the day the fellows had the opportunity to have a skype call with <strong>Alex Farrington<\/strong>, the Head of Partnership at the <strong>Humanitarian Leadership Academy<\/strong>, a new organization which enables people around the world to prepare and respond to humanitarian crisis. Alex introduced the online courses and how to access to the learning materials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On Tuesday morning, the workshop was dedicated to &#8220;<strong>HUMANITARIAN COORDINATION&#8221;<\/strong> led by Riccardo Sansone, Head of Humanitarian Emergencies at OXFAM Italia. In the afternoon the lecture was focused on &#8220;<strong>WHY HUMANITARIAN AID IS NEEDED? THE CONTEXT AND THE CHALLENGES&#8221;<\/strong>, presented by Gianluca Ranzano International Humanitarian Manager at Save the Children Italia.
