COMMUNICATION IN EMERGENCIES<\/strong>\u00a0for Master\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-project-management-international-cooperation-local-development\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HOPE \u2013 Master in Humanitarian Operations in Emergencies, Managing Projects, People Administration &amp; Logistic in the Field<\/a>, was held in Rome, led by\u00a0<strong>Leonardo Palma<\/strong>\u00a0(Logistics Coordinator at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intersos.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INTERSOS<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Humanitarian Organization<\/strong>),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/faculty\/lodovico-mariani\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Lodovico Mariani<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(Director of Master HOPE and Finance and Administration Director at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amref.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Amref Health Italia<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/faculty\/filippo-ungaro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Filippo Ungaro<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(Communications Manager at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Save the Children Italy<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/11\/ok.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  aligncenter wp-image-32310\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/11\/ok-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Leonardo Palma's lecture - Humanitarian Finance and Logistics. Communication in emergencies\" width=\"444\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The morning of the first day was dedicated to \u201c<strong>The role of logistics in a humanitarian intervention<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>Logistics keypoints \u2013 theory<\/strong>\u201d with Leonardo Palma as lecturer. Fellows had the chance to learn about what needs to be done and the general guidelines to follow on the field, understanding the importance of a good logistics coordination.<br \/>During the second part of the day, fellows met Lodovico Mariani, who divided them in groups and helped them create a correct GANNT chart for their group projects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/11\/ok1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"  aligncenter wp-image-32311\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/11\/ok1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Lodovico Mariani and Social Change School's fellows - Humanitarian Finance and Logistics. Communication in emergencies\" width=\"439\" height=\"248\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On the second day, the fellows were once again with Lodovico Mariani and, always divided in groups, created a budget proposal for their projects, gave feedbacks to the other groups and ultimately learned how to create a realistic and correct budget.\u00a0<br \/>The rest of the day was dedicated to understanding and applying solid financial management practices in humanitarian programs, learning of all administrative and financial procedures in the grant management cycle and in general about\u00a0<strong>\u2018Financial structure and Financial planning\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/11\/ok2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"  aligncenter wp-image-32312\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/11\/ok2-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Filippo Ungaro interviews a student - Humanitarian Finance and Logistics.
