{"id":2556,"date":"2017-06-15T08:44:53","date_gmt":"2017-06-15T08:44:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/socialchangeschool.org\/2017\/06\/social-change-school-and-erasmus-student-network-italy\/"},"modified":"2024-03-18T14:19:50","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T14:19:50","slug":"social-change-school-and-erasmus-student-network-italy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/15\/06\/2017\/social-change-school-and-erasmus-student-network-italy\/","title":{"rendered":"Social Change School and Erasmus Student Network Italy: training the future NonProfit leaders!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Social Change School and Erasmus Student Network Italy<\/h1>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Palermo\u00a0for ESN- Erasmus Student Network Italy\u2019s third General Assembly.<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the 9<sup>th<\/sup> till the 11<sup>th<\/sup> of June 2017, in Palermo, the third <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esnitalia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ESN- Erasmus Student Network Italy<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s third General Assembly was held, ESN is amongst one of the <strong>Student and Citizenships Networks partner<\/strong> of the School. As for the partnership, as for <strong>AIESEC<\/strong>, it is agreed the concession of <strong>Scholarships<\/strong>, reserved to the members of ESN Italy, to facilitate the access to the Masters to those young people who are strongly motivated to work in the NGOs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/alessio-di-carlo\/\"><strong>Alessio di Carlo<\/strong><\/a>, Co-director of the<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-project-management-international-cooperation-local-development\/\">Master PMC in Project Management \u00a0for the International Cooperation<\/a>, <\/strong><strong>and Founder and Vice President of the Association <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperaction.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CooperAction Onlus<\/a><\/strong><strong>, took part at the event as a representative of the School.\u00a0<\/strong>A busy weekend full of events, organised by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esnpalermo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Erasmus Student Network Palermo<\/strong>,<\/a>\u00a0with the participation of the local representatives of the organisation, and of the authorities of\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Comune di Palermo<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Palermo<\/strong>, and the partners:\u00a0<strong>Campus Party Europe<\/strong>\u00a0and Social Change School.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ESN Italy, is the national body of <a href=\"https:\/\/esn.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ESN- International Exchange &#8211; Erasmus Student Network<\/strong><\/a>, with <strong>39 member countries<\/strong>, is the biggest European student association in Europe, that <strong>connects and supports each year thousands of international students<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>partnership<\/strong> with the Social Change School, was in fact born to promote the <strong>professional growth amongst the youth, that are part of the <\/strong><strong>\u2018<\/strong><strong>Young Leader Networks\u2019, and to train the future NonProfit leaders!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The commitment of ESN to facilitate the <strong>internationalisation, inclusion and exchange<\/strong> at a European level of the new generations, but also the promotion of <strong>policies close to the\u00a0 needs of young people<\/strong> (eg. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esnitalia.org\/it\/carta-della-generazione-erasmus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CARTA DELLA GENERAZIONE ERASMUS<\/a><\/strong>) and the attention towards ethical\/social issues (as for example the project <a href=\"https:\/\/exchangeability.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ExchangeAbility<\/strong><\/a>, for students with disabilities), reflect values and objectives in line with the Social Change School.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Simone Acquaviva<\/strong>, \u00a0<strong>President<\/strong> of\u00a0<strong>Erasmus Student Network Italy<\/strong>, shared his thoughts on the partnership with the School:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;ESN Italy, non profit volunteer student association, is rooted in 52 italian Universities and it is member of\u00a0Erasmus Student Network, it is <strong>proud to collaborate, for the second year in a row, with the\u00a0Social Change School.\u00a0<\/strong>The <strong>experience and professionalism<\/strong> of the School, will help our volunteers in their personal growth and in improving the quality of our local sections and of our network. We have had the <strong>honour to attend the workshop of the Engineer Di Carlo<\/strong>, \u00a0on behalf of the SCS, during our General Assembly in Palermo and the<strong>\u00a0attendees have been enthusiastics<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Alessio di Carlo<\/strong>, who also was a <strong>former Erasmus student and former student of the Social Change School<\/strong>, has intervened by telling his story and experience on the field. He has moreover presented the <strong>opportunities reserved to ESN Italy members<\/strong>, like the Scholarships for those who intend to take part in the Social Change School\u2019s Masters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finally, the event has hosted a discussion on the new <strong>three-year planning of ESN<\/strong>.
