{"id":2463,"date":"2016-07-21T15:43:40","date_gmt":"2016-07-21T15:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/socialchangeschool.org\/2016\/07\/we-need-new-leaders-for-great-challenges\/"},"modified":"2024-03-18T14:21:13","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T14:21:13","slug":"we-need-new-leaders-for-great-challenges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/21\/07\/2016\/we-need-new-leaders-for-great-challenges\/","title":{"rendered":"We need new leaders for great challenges!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Saturday 16, July 2016, the <strong>first day of the new edition of ASVI\u00a0Social Change Masters was held\u00a0<\/strong>at the Polo Didattico in Rome, \u00a0for the masters in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-project-management-international-cooperation-local-development\/\"><strong>Project Management for the international Cooperation<\/strong><\/a>, in\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-fundraising-management-comunication-marketing-campaigning\/\">Fundraising Management<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-humanitarian-operations-in-emergencies-managing-projects-people-administration-logistic-in-the-field\/\"><strong>Humanitarian Operations in Emergencies<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A day that can be considered more than international thanks to the presence of a lot of foreign students,\u00a0coming from different parts of Europe, among\u00a0the 42 new students that attended. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/faculty\/marco-crescenzi\/\">Marco Crescenzi<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/about\/staff\/\">ASVI Social Change Staff<\/a>, the Master\u2019s Directors and also some representatives of the historical Partners, introduced the students to their new and exciting experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The President of the Social Change School Marco Crescenzi<\/strong>\u00a0gave a welcoming speech to the new students, he underlined the importance of networking and integration with the different communities and institutions, in particular, after the recent international issues, he highlighted that\u00a0<strong>\u201cthe school will increase its efforts to connect to the young Islamic networks, this can be a strong alliance to defeat fundamentalism\u201d.<\/strong> Within the former alumni, the school has had\u00a0fantastic Muslim students, like <strong>Rassmea Salah, <\/strong>who is\u00a0now\u00a0Trainer for , their leadership potential is very strong, and they are hard workers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to M. Crescenzi <strong>\u201cthe world and the non profit sector need new leaders in Europe able to deal with the big challenges of humanity\u201d<\/strong>; leaders who invest in their job, <strong>not just their \u201csoul and passion\u201d but also their<\/strong> \u201c<strong>skills and professionalism<\/strong>\u201d, essential requirements for achieving the social change.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our Partners and Master\u2019s Directors intervened by telling the students about their job and passion for the non profit sector, and <strong>how\u00a0 undertaking this career path has changed their life in better, allowing them to realize their own dreams.<\/strong>\u00a0The <strong>masters\u2019 representatives<\/strong> that attended were: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/giampiero-giacomel\/\"><strong>Giampiero Giacomel<\/strong><\/a>-FRM Master Director;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/lodovico-mariani\/\"><strong>Lodovico Mariani<\/strong><\/a>-HOPE Master Director, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/sandro-calvani\/\"><strong>Sandro Calvani<\/strong><\/a>-Strategic Adviser for HOPE Master, who intervened with a video, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/alessio-di-carlo\/\"><strong>Alessio di Carlo<\/strong><\/a>-Co-director of the PMC Master.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Partner<\/strong><strong>s\u2019 representatives<\/strong> were:<strong> Paola Cocchi<\/strong>-Human Resources Manager on behalf of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amref.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Amref Health Africa<\/strong><\/a><strong>; Federica Corsi<\/strong>-Policy Officer for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfam.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>OXFAM<\/strong><\/a><strong>;<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/pia-cantini\/\"><strong>P<\/strong><strong>ia Cantin<\/strong><strong>i<\/strong><\/a>-International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Expert for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.org\/site\/c.8rKLIXMGIpI4E\/b.6115947\/k.8D6E\/Official_Site.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Save The Children<\/strong><\/a><strong>;<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Benedetta Genisio<\/strong>&#8211; Digital and New Media Responsbile for\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agire.it\/it\/agire_onlus\/english.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AGIRE-Italian Agency for Emergency Response<\/a><\/strong><strong>;<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Lodovico Mariani<\/strong>-Human Resources Officer for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.intersos.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>INTERSOS<\/strong><\/a><strong>;<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/maria-carla-cardelli\/\"><strong>Maria Carla Cardelli<\/strong><\/a>&#8211; Fundraising and Communication Office for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.libera.it\/flex\/cm\/pages\/ServeBLOB.php\/L\/IT\/IDPagina\/70\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LIBERA, Associations, names and numbers against mafias<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and also Senior Adviser of the FRM Master.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a tradition, a former student from the latest edition, Gianluca Gafforio, passed the <strong>ASVI Social Change flag<\/strong> to a new student, to symbolise <strong>the continuity of the work that Asvi Social Change has done since 1998, by training more than 1000 students.\u00a0<\/strong>During the second part of the day, the students were the real protagonists of the event as they had to present themselves with an object that could better describe their experiences and <strong>the dream that they want to realize with the ASVI Social Change Master!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A very felt good luck to our new students for the coming experience!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday 16, July 2016, the first day of the new edition of ASVI\u00a0Social Change Masters was held\u00a0at the Polo Didattico in Rome, \u00a0for the masters in Project Management for the international Cooperation, in\u00a0Fundraising Management\u00a0and\u00a0in Humanitarian Operations in Emergencies.
