{"id":2462,"date":"2016-07-15T07:31:25","date_gmt":"2016-07-15T07:31:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/socialchangeschool.org\/2016\/07\/workshop-london-best-practices-6th-7th-and-8th-july-2016-london\/"},"modified":"2024-03-18T14:21:13","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T14:21:13","slug":"workshop-london-best-practices-6th-7th-and-8th-july-2016-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/15\/07\/2016\/workshop-london-best-practices-6th-7th-and-8th-july-2016-london\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop: \u201cLondon Best Practices\u201d &#8211;  6th, 7th and 8th July 2016-London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">London- From the 6th until the 8th of July 2016, the students from the Masters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-project-management-international-cooperation-local-development\/\"><strong> PMC<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Project Management for International Cooperation, Euro-Project Management and Local Development<\/strong><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/master\/master-in-fundraising-management-comunication-marketing-campaigning\/\">FRAME-Fundraising Management, Communication, Marketing, Social Media and Social Campaigns<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>took part to the Workshop<strong> \u201cLondon Best Practices\u201d; <\/strong>discovering innovative tools and exclusive case studies that allowed them to experience first-hand some examples of <strong>the third sector in the UK.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the realization of the workshop, we had the collaboration of: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/emmanuelle-lacroix\/\"><strong>Emmanuelle Lacroix<\/strong><\/a>, Partnership Development Manager at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cornerstoneondemand.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cornestone OnDemand Foundation<\/a>;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/giampiero-giacomel\/\"><strong>Giampiero Giacomel<\/strong><\/a>, Development Executive at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhi.ac.uk\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of the Highlands and Islands<\/a>;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/docenti\/isabel-white\/\"><strong>Isabel White<\/strong><\/a>, Director at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advice2go.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Advice2go ltd<\/a>;\u00a0<strong>Steven Selvaraj<\/strong>, Advocacy Team Leader South Asia at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/home.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christian Solidarity Worldwide<\/a>; and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchangeschool.org\/en\/faculty\/federico-atzory\/\">Federico Aztori<\/a><\/strong> as Tutor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Different topics were touched, but they were all inserted in the UK context: starting from the theme of the <strong>Human Resource Management<\/strong>\u00a0in the Non Profit Sector, to the\u00a0<strong>Grant Writing, Influential Writing<\/strong>\u00a0and the role of the <strong>Advocacy and Lobbying over the single project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the most relevant topic was the \u201c<strong>Grant Making Charitable Trust<\/strong>\u201d, discussed by Giampiero Giacomel. A legal form that still does not exist in Italy but that represents an important opportunity for the NGOs of our country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The experience ended\u00a0with a visit, on the third day, to the <a href=\"https:\/\/foundlingmuseum.org.uk\/\"><strong>Foundling Museum<\/strong>,<\/a>\u00a0that was in the origins a place of care for babies at risk of abandonment.
