London- From the 6th until the 8th of July 2016, the students from the Masters PMC<\/strong> \u2013 Project Management for International Cooperation, Euro-Project Management and Local Development<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/b>and FRAME-Fundraising Management, Communication, Marketing, Social Media and Social Campaigns<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>took part to the Workshop \u201cLondon Best Practices\u201d; <\/strong>discovering innovative tools and exclusive case studies that allowed them to experience first-hand some examples of the third sector in the UK.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the realization of the workshop, we had the collaboration of: Emmanuelle Lacroix<\/strong><\/a>, Partnership Development Manager at Cornestone OnDemand Foundation<\/a>;\u00a0Giampiero Giacomel<\/strong><\/a>, Development Executive at University of the Highlands and Islands<\/a>;\u00a0Isabel White<\/strong><\/a>, Director at Advice2go ltd<\/a>;\u00a0Steven Selvaraj<\/strong>, Advocacy Team Leader South Asia at Christian Solidarity Worldwide<\/a>; and Federico Aztori<\/a><\/strong> as Tutor.<\/p>\n

Different topics were touched, but they were all inserted in the UK context: starting from the theme of the Human Resource Management<\/strong>\u00a0in the Non Profit Sector, to the\u00a0Grant Writing, Influential Writing<\/strong>\u00a0and the role of the Advocacy and Lobbying over the single project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

One of the most relevant topic was the \u201cGrant Making Charitable Trust<\/strong>\u201d, discussed by Giampiero Giacomel. A legal form that still does not exist in Italy but that represents an important opportunity for the NGOs of our country.<\/p>\n

The experience ended\u00a0with a visit, on the third day, to the Foundling Museum<\/strong>,<\/a>\u00a0that was in the origins a place of care for babies at risk of abandonment. Founded in 1739 by the philanthropist Thomas Coram it saved about 27.000 children before its closure.<\/p>\n
