Cinzia was born in Pescara, but spent most of her life in Bologna.
Following a Master in Euro-project management, she moved to Tanzania, where she lived in a village for an entire year and fell in love with Africa, literally. She then moved to Lebanon, where she assisted a Project Manager on a number of different projects dealing with education and gender equality, but she soon felt the need of going back “home”, in Tanzania, where she examined the social-economic activities of a project on rural development.
After her stay in Tanzania, she moved to Zambia to take up a Project Coordinator role in one of the poorest compounds of Lusaka.
Presently, she works in Madrid for Social Change School because she wanted to take up a new challenge by starting a new professional adventure.
She holds a degree in Political Science and specialized in Social Policies and Welfare Programmes with a thesis on Managers in the Third Sector, a passion of hers. She then decided to enroll in an International Master dealing with Social Policies and Strategic Management for Sustainable Local Development, while also doing an internship in a Social Cooperative, where she wrote projects for the local development.
Cinzia was also certified by PMD4NGOs as a Project Management for Development Professional.
The African name she was given is Chimwemwe, which means Happiness in Nyanja. She’s a life enthusiast and though she considers herself extremely lazy, she’s always ready for new adventures and last minute journeys to discover new and unconventional places.
Movies, TV series and music are her favorite hobbies; sea and food her passions.
